We are interested in the genetic, molecular and cellular mechanisms that drive tissue injury and disease. We use a variety of bioengineering tools, including patient-derived pluripotent stem cells, gene-editing, 3D organoids, and animal models. Our goal is to replicate and identify mechanisms of disease for the development of novel therapies.
Some of our most relevant scientific contributions have been published in Nature Medicine, Science Translational Medicine, Nature Communications, Cell Stem Cell and Journal of Clinical Investigation, among other scientific journals.
